Data Supported Opportunity Report Professional Report Presentation Assistance With Development of an Implementation Plan Energy Efficiency Grant and Rebates Assistance
A client may select any number of these services depending upon the project needs. Typically, not all of the components will be necessary depending upon the application and the company.
Data Supported Opportunity ReportThe report summarizes and details the current conditions of the vacuum systems and provides a list of opportunities for efficiency. This will be the how-to manual for saving energy and money. Current equipment conditions and measurementsThe current conditions and measurements section of the report will include: · Details of all equipment · Details of all the data gathered and measurements · Graphical and table formatted supporting materials · Details of changes in the equipment from initial installation · Costs associated with running the current equipment · 5VEFs in their current status Efficiency Opportunities:The efficiency opportunities section of the report will include opportunities for: · Reducing energy · Improving reliability · Reducing consumables · Reducing maintenance time · Increasing production · Any other identified goals All opportunities will be measured using a simple payback method. Unless instructed otherwise, all listed opportunities will have less than a three year simple payback. Simple payback examples: · If you can save $12,000 annually in energy and consumables by replacing an older technology with a new “on demand” vacuum system utilizing a transducer signaled VFD on a trimmer pump for a cost of $24,000, the simple payback would be 2 years. · If you can save $24,000 annually in energy and consumable by switching to a technology that costs $18,000 installed, the simple payback would be 9 months. · If you can save $60,000 annually by installing bigger piping and operating your equipment at a slightly higher pressure level (20”Hgv instead of 24”Hgv) without affecting production for an installed cost of $10,000, the simple payback would be 2 months. The number of opportunities purely depends on the current conditions. If technology upgrades (say from liquid ring to dry claw technology) are a good opportunity, IVS will detail the size and capacity of the newer technology. Grant and Rebate Opportunities:The grant and rebate opportunities section of the report will detail available rebates and grants (see below).
Professional Report PresentationThe purpose of the professional report presentation is to inform and educate any persons that may be involved in the implementation of a vacuum efficiency project. The presentation is also a good format to field questions about the results, begin implementation planning and discuss grant and rebate opportunities. The presentation is typically a power point review of the goals, measurements, and opportunities. Participation in this meeting is crucial to the potential success of future efficiency projects. The meeting allows all potential project team members and decision makers to ask questions, understand the opportunities, and make informed decisions. Assistance with Development of an Implementation PlanIVS can work within your company’s protocol for a vacuum efficiency project implementation program. Although every company has their own guidelines, IVS can assist with any primary steps including: · Developing an action plan · Training a team of implementers · Identifying and documenting tasks · Creating a timeline Because each company uses a different approach, IVS will cater to the individual needs of each facility.
Energy Efficiency Grant and Rebate AssistanceDepending upon the physical location of the and the industry, grant and rebate assistance may be available through the local utility, local government, state government or federal government. IVS will prepare the paperwork, provide the documented unbiased testing data required and to make this a “review and sign” application process. Vacuum TrainingIVS will provide training for existing equipment and new equipment upgrades. IVS can also provide training on basic vacuum theory and vacuum technology upon request. The vacuum equipment training will include preventive and predictive maintenance, operation, and basic trouble shooting. If larger companies want to develop their own internal vacuum system auditing program, IVS can train your personnel and provide the fundamental structure for the program.
